![]() ![]() ![]() Swift's relatability proved crucial in 2017 when it came to her impacts on societal shifts outside of the music industry "Speak Now" is an entirely self-written album that charted on the Billboard Hot 200 for 137 weeks, which was not only a huge middle finger to critics who claimed Swift didn't write her own music, but also proof she was one of the most promising songwriters of her generation.Īrming herself with lyrics like "I feel you forget me like I used to feel you breathe," and "The lingering question kept me up / Two a.m., who do you love?" Swift created a bulletproof foundation for a career built around her uncanny ability to pinpoint crucial moments of intimacy and turn them into universal anthems of heartbreak, love, and loss that became soundtracks to real fans' lives. Swift demonstrated her songwriting prowess early on, and her music only continued to get stronger all the way through her 2019 album, 'Lover' And with the release of "Speak Now," in late 2010, Swift proved she wasn't capable of just reinventing optimistic love stories, she had a complete grasp on heartbreak and pain, too. She was someone we could see ourselves in as we navigated our own lives and romances. It works nice and it’s fast, which is pretty great. But for me, and other fans of Swift, it was more than that. MusicTube is a pretty great tool that allows you to take advantage of a feature that the official YouTube app doesn’t have, despite many years of pleas from the user base. If the phone is blocked, you’ll still be able to control the music player without having to unlock the device. If you have any music playing in the background, you’ll notice an active tracker near the bottom of the screen. It’s also possible to search for music, channels or playlists. MusicTube further gives you access to various charts, a list with music you’ve liked, be it individual tracks or playlists. There’s also the possibility of playing them all by pressing the shuffle button at the top. Tapping on the plus sign next to each of these will add them to the playlist. The app plays YouTube music videos just like any other type of content. That being said, a tool like MusicTube will solve all your problems. Sure, the folks over at the company have been vowing to get onto this for a while now, but we’re not seeing results just yet. While this is something that works pretty much flawlessly when you’re on a desktop computer or a laptop, it doesn’t really work well on mobile since YouTube has yet to figure out a way to have videos continue playing when you’re multitasking or locking the device. YouTube has become over the years the go-to place not only for those wanting to actually watch videos, but also for those seeking to enjoy music in the background without the hassle of putting together a playlist, downloading music players and so on. ![]()
